I shall write a bit about the history of the site in a few days. It's been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1980 and one of the oldest archaeological sites in Buddhism after Taxila. I can tell you it is a beautiful tranquil place and once there, in the silence of the place, one can almost hear the hum of meditating monks......
